Weekend List!

I really feel like this is the only way things get done!

This weekend's list:

Friday(immediately when I get home!)
-bake cake for neighbor's baby shower! Oh man I hope this turns out well!
-make buttercream and put in fridge!
-clean living room/kitchen/dining room and pantry! These places have been bothering me all week
-vacuum* I'll come back to this one

Saturday
-ice neighbor's cake. I hope I can do this well. I've been looking and looking at different techniques and of course we have all the right stuff to do it well, but I'm nervous about it!
-get/wrap gift! We will have to get the full gift a little later, but at least something is good for now. Right?
-go to party! I hope hope hope the cake is good!
-Clean my house again. Maybe go to my mom's for the game?

Sunday - D is off of work!
-go to church? We need to!
-watch the game somewhere. Prepare for Monday.

Not much on the list this week, besides cleaning and baking. Of course diaper laundry is in there. I'm thinking of making some muffins, but we'll see if I'm up to it. I need to ask my mom if she has a square pan for baking. On that right now...

List(s) for the Weekend

Hubby (D) and I have busy lives. We both have full-time jobs (away from home), and we are both full time parents! Our littles are 21 months and almost (in 2 days!) 7 months and they keep us pretty busy. So it's pretty needless to say that our to-do list gets longer as the week goes on! Each week I try and knock some stuff off of the list, but it really seems to never end!

So this weekend's list looks like this:

  • Clean the living room (vacuum)
  • Clean the kitchen (dishes)
  • Load (x3) of laundry
  • Diaper laundry
  • Fix up playroom
  • Mow the yard
  • Fix flower beds/front yard

Of course there is only so much time to do things and D is only off on Saturday this weekend, so that means anything on that list that needs to be done without kids (mow the yard) should probably be done while he's home. And really, he's only home because we have a birthday party to go to!

So that adds:

  • Get gift for birthday party
  • Go to birthday party

Oh but it's a huge weekend. Huge. ACL weekend. No, we're not going to Austin City Limits. That would be things people without small children do. Or cool parents. Also it's the UT-OU (Red River Rivalry) game. No, we're not going to the game either. But we're watching it on TV!  Just lots of stuff going on, meaning lots of distractions from The List. This happens every weekend!

But just to summarize, I'm pretty random and I tend to ramble sometimes. I blame that on my self-diagnosed A.D.D., but these lists tend to help a lot lately. Hopefully. Just hopefully. I can get some stuff done!
